Book Club: May 2015

Hi Fellow Clubbies,

So naturally I'm doing the monthly book club! I haven't been reading much and man have I missed it!! But school is over and I did get some reading in so here's my monthly reads!

one// Let's Pretend This Never Happened  (A Mostly True Memoir) by Jenny Lawson
So as the book states this is a memoir of Jenny Lawson, The Bloggess. She is incredibly funny in the most inappropriate at the perfect yet inappropriate times. The stories she tells are truly one of a kind, it is a funny and worthwhile read. Even though there's excessive cursing I had to recommend this one to my mother and sisters, its just too funny to pass up!

Happy Reading

Snapchat Anonymous

Hello All,

If you are anything like me you are also a Snapchataholic! That little white ghost is basically your best friend. My snapchat score is way too high and I constantly need to check it. I like seeing my friends, seeing what they are up to, and collecting geotags.

While I really miss being able to see each others best friends, I am enjoying the fire streaks! My best friend and I are already to 80. Now the goal is to reach 100! Obviously we also like collecting geotags, and seeing all the cool different ones available in different places. I also recently learned that we can make our own geotags on the snapchat website. While I am the opposite of artistic and creative, I really want one for my neighborhood so I might have to make one. I will keep you all updated.

This isn't me but my friend sent it to me
This entire post seems to be pointless but I just really needed to get my addiction out there, the first step is admitting you have a problem right? Well I don't think its a problem, bust it might become one. I just really love snapchat to talk to my friends with. And the live snapstories from different events and cities around the world are my absolute favorite! I love being able to experience the world from my home..... although it does make me more antsy to travel and explore.

Happy Snapping
XOXO

101 in 1001 Update

Hello Loves,

Even though I haven't been blogging, I have actually been keeping up with my 101 in 1001. It was kind of shocking to me too because it was mostly inadvertent! Here's an update on how it is all going.

one// Go on a trip with my Chi O sisters

My best friend, E, and I did a road trip over fall break to visit Bama. We went to a game, tailgated, and even went to a couple of frat parties. It was so much fun!! We saw the Chi O house, dressed up in game day dresses, tried traditional Southern fast food places (Raising Canes is my new love), and drove 28 hours in a span of two days. It was definitely a whirlwind vacation but so worth it!

two// Do something outside my comfort zone
So for this one I actually have a couple, maybe because my comfort zone is incredibly limited or because I've been trying to get out more or a combination thereof... but let me tell you, its been a lot more fun! I choose two:

 1. Watching Rocky Horror: I know this doesn't sound out-of-comfort-zone but it was! My best friend was Janet (the main character) and there were corsets, sex scenes, and transvestites.... need I say more?
2. Record a voiceover in Spanish for a commercial. Its kind of a long story but the gist is that I accompanied a coworker to the recording studio because they needed a male voice, but he was doing a really bad job and the owner of the company had me do the voiceover instead!! Now its on the website of my job! And instead of a male voice they have a five year old girl......#oops?

three//Go to a sports game I've never been to before
I went to my first college baseball game on Mother's Day. It was actually a lot more fun than I expected and we won (which obviously makes it better). I'll probably try to go to more home games this next upcoming season!

four// Go to brunch with friends
For my friend's birthday she planned a brunch! This was great because all my friends were invited, it was a birthday celebration (my favorite kinds of celebrations), it was a thing on my list, and I DIDN'T have to plan it!! We had a great time. The food was amazing, especially the cake dessert we got her, which was bread pudding!

Here's to more goal reaching & adventuring

I'm BAAAAAAAAACK!!!!! Whaaaaat?!?!

Hello Loves!

I'm back!!! I know its shocking to me too!
I just disappeared one day in October and left this blog completely unattended. I feel horrible about it but I was going through a lot of stuff then and something just had to give (yes, I know excuses, excuses) BUT I missed every single second of blogging so I was determined to get back. I'm feeling a lot better now*. I wish I could say I was incredibly busy which is why I couldn't blog, but really I was just not dealing with life and my problems well, I'm still not at a place where I feel comfortable sharing but I am in a much better place than when I first disappeared, hopefully soon I'll be able to share some more, but for now I'm just happy to be back!!

I've missed this!
XOXO

*I'm really still a mess.......I mostly said that to make myself feel better and feel less crazy!! **
** I promise I'm not as crazy as I sound!
