How To Grow Your Hair

Hello Loves,

My sister is having a lot of issues with her hair so to help her we've been looking up many different tips and tricks and here I've compiled a list of tips and tricks that have help her hair grow!

one// Don't wash your hair everyday
Washing your hair everyday can strip away protective oils that help keep your hair healthy. Start slowly by reducing your hair washing by washing it every other day then every two days or so. Find the amount that works best for you. It may seem super oily at first, but your scalp will adjust in no time just use dry shampoo until then!

two// Dry your hair with care
When you get out of the show, gently squeeze excess water from your hair and pat dry with a soft towel or shirt. Don't rub or massage wet hair it causes it to break easier creating split ends. Comb your hair with a wide-toothed comb and gently work through the tangles. Try to let your hair air dry as much as possible!

three// Style your hair gently
Always make sure to use a heat protectant before using heat on your hair! Always try to use the coolest setting possible. Wash your hair in colder water to help fight frizz and keep your hair shaft smooth and healthy.

four// Avoid chemicals
Many shampoos, conditioners, and styling products contain a lot of harmful chemicals that can ultimately dry our and damage hair in the long term. Try to pay special attention to the products to minimize the use of chemicals to make your hair healthier in the long term. Try to avoid sulfates and silicone in the products.

five// Eat well
You are what you eat! Try to maintain eating a healthy and balanced diet, not just for your hair but for your body! Healthy diets will help hair grow faster, thicker, and glossier.

six// Drink plenty of water
Hydrating your body can help hydrate your hair. Try to drink at least 8 glasses of water a day. This helps your body as well as your hair!

seven// Take vitamins
Biotin (500mcg a day) promotes healthy skin, hair, and nail growth. Its hard to get all the necessary vitamins for healthy hair and skin so I take a Women's One-A-Day to supplement my normal diet.

eight// Let your hair down
Play with different hairstyles but also let your hair down. Tight hairstyles like ponytails or buns can cause breakage in your hair. Give your hair a break!

nine// Massage your scalp
Give yourself a scalp massage 2-3 times a week for 10 minutes to increase blood flow to the scalp and promote hair growth. I like to do this when I wash my hair!

ten// Trim split ends
It is important to trim your hair when you are growing it out, but only trim it when necessary. Its okay to skip trims if the ends are strong and healthy, just trim the split ends!
