The Time I Attempted Cooking School

Hello Friends!

This past weekend with my Junior League, I was lucky enough to go to a Culinary School and learn some things about cookies and cookie decorating. We made and decorated over 200 cookies for women and their children in transitional housing. Since the cookies were more geared to their children, we decorated them overly sweet and full of sprinkles.

It was so fun to say the least. We enjoyed ourselves and we also made a mess. We learned how to use a professional kitchen with professional supplies. It was so intense. There were massive mixers and impressive ovens.

Everything in the kitchen was large scale. We, also, made small boxes for each of the families in the housing and put four cookies as well as candies. I know the kids loved them. We had a lot of fun and after the professor let us try some of the food the real students were making.

How are you celebrating?
